Nothing can frighten a Triton in a campaign by Mitsubishi Motors’ Outlander Plug-in Hybrid EV in partnership with Russell Coight.

This is a collaboration between Richards Rose and Working Dog Productions.

Mitsubishi Motors Australia general manager, marketing & corporate affairs Sam Wight said that after such positive feedback and results from their initial partnership, they’re very excited for more adventures with Russell Coight.

“Unlike Russell though, the new Triton makes adventuring easy for Aussies, with its incredible off-road capability, 3.5 tonne towing, and 10 year warranty. It’s no wonder nothing can frighten a Triton,” Wight said.

The campaign sees Coight trying his best to point out that ‘show ponies’ in flashy new utes won’t cut it when the going gets tough – at least not without his old-school know-how.

Coight is famous for making things harder than they need to be.

Despite his best efforts it doesn’t take long for things to go comically wrong for the legendary bushman.

Witnessing the Triton conquer challenges with ease across TV, video, social, and radio, Coight begins to see merit in the ‘fancy’ new ute.

In OOH, dealership and on the website, he even signs off that it’s Coight Proof.

Richards Rose CCO Adam Rose said that it was an honour for Richards Rose to again partner with the legends at Working Dog.

“There’s never a dull moment traveling with Russell Coight – like a bright orange Triton, he gets attention wherever he goes,” Rose said.

“Unfortunately, this time it was largely medical attention. So, as well as a big shout out to the safety officer on set, I’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Mitsubishi Motors, Justin McMillan, Clockwork Films, Nick Wilson, White Chocolate and Simon Kane at Massive Music who threw everything at this job… and at Russell.”
