Ben Coulson has left Dentsu as chief creative officer, ANZ.
AdNews understands he left the business in April. His next move isn’t known.
Coulson was appointed in September 2023 following the departure of Mandie van der Merwe and Avish Gordhan who joined Saatchi & Saatchi Australia as joint chief creative officers after just a year at Dentsu Creative.
Dentsu confirmed Coulson's departure, staying that Brett Colliver, New Zealand's co-CCO, will cover the role in the interim.
“Ben has moved on from our team, and we thank him for his contribution and his passion around the craft,” said Kirsty Muddle, CEO of Dentsu Creative, AUNZ.
“We wish him well for what’s next and he remains a good friend of this business.
"We are lucky we have two revered creative leaders in our region, Titanium’s, Pencils and Lion winning capability in Brett Colliver and Mike Felix. They’ve done some notable work whilst they’ve been here at dentsu over that last 24 months and Brett will step into the Creative Leadership role for Australia as an interim step."
