A quick lunch and back to the office.

Melissa Fein, Sam Geer and Chris Colter -- the core of Accenture Song’s new media unit -- celebrated quietly their big win, the Optus account.

The trio, who defected from Initiative, officially started their new roles at Accenture Song in September.

Since then they’ve been building capacity and the systems at Accenture Song.

And pitching.

Fein, the managing director, media, Accenture Song, APAC, said Optus is a perfect and truly unique foundational partner.

"One that embodies the spirit of what it means to be a challenger and has the depth of talent across their marketing team to realise that ambition," she said.

“There’s limitless potential for this partnership, with our media proposition underpinned by AI and Optus being a Technology first business ‘’

Fein, Sam and Colter, widely regarded as rainmakers in media agency land, have teased what they believe to be the "most ambitious media proposition in the world".

At the core, the media offering has several proprietary tools including media trading, has ambitious acquisition plans and will completely avoid principal media buying.
