New Zealand DOOH operator LUMO Digital Outdoor has acquired regional digital billboard operator GLOBOX.
The addition of GLOBOX to LUMO’s dgital OOH network provides advertisers with access to over 100 screens across the country with new screens in Rotorua and Whangarei, while Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton and Tauranga will see an increase in coverage.
“Globox has created a very successful digital billboard business in the regions, and its acquisition is a natural fit and extension of the LUMO promise,” said Phil Clemas, co-founder and CEO at LUMO Digital Outdoor.
The acquisition establishes LUMO’s position as the operator of New Zealand’s largest digital billboard network in metropolitan areas, delivering premium DOOH reach to nearly three million New Zealanders every week.
“After an incredible 7 years of GLOBOX, the time feels right for us to hand over our network to the capable team at LUMO. We’re thankful for our clients and everyone who has been part of the GLOBOX journey, it's been a fantastic ride,” said Sally Nicholson, founder and CEO at GLOBOX.
The extended network will be available to advertisers from June 2, following LUMO's full suite of data, screen technology and measurement systems integration.
