Avenue C wins Zip Water pitch

Zip Water has appointed independent agency Avenue C media partner across Australia and New Zealand, following a competitive pitch led by Tumbleturn Marketing Advisory.

The appointment covers both the Zip Water brand in Australia and Zenith Water in New Zealand, and reflects a strategic move to consolidate media operations.

Avenue C digital director Paula Lopes said the agency was looking forward to working with a brand on a strong growth path.

Avenue C will lead the communications strategy across paid media, working alongside specialist agencies: Eddy Agency (organic social and influencer), Australian Digital (SEO), and Steve Liu (creative).

Managing director ANZ at Zip Water, Mike Abbott, said Avenue C was chosen for its strategic clarity and integrated approach.

Awaken wins Smeg digital media account

Awaken, a full-service media agency, has been appointed to manage the digital media account for global appliance brand Smeg, following a competitive pitch process.

The agency will support Smeg’s ecommerce sales and retail attribution, bolstering the brand’s omnichannel offering through digital strategy and technology.

Smeg head of marketing and product, Nick Elgin, said Awaken is the perfect strategic partner for enhancing the brand’s digital offering.

The appointment is effective immediately.

Vocus pitch won by independent PMG

Melbourne-based independent PMG has won a competitive pitch for the media account at Vocus, a telco with brands  including Dodo & iPrimus.

PMG, founded by Chris Nolan and Di Richardson, takes over from PHD Melbourne which won the account in 2018 after working with the brand on a project basis.

AdNews in March revealed the pitch for the account estimated to be worth $15 million.

PMG’s client list includes major brands such as Sportsbet, Bob Jane T-Marts, Swisse, Swinburne University, KenoGo, Don Smallgoods, Gordon Legal, Cobs, Green’s, Yumi’s, Netball Australia, WTFN, Hampers with Bite and Marketplacer.

The independent media agency has some $180 million in billings.

Savi lands Ena Pelly pitch

Savi Communications has been appointed to handle media and performance marketing for Ena Pelly, its first client in fashion e-commerce.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch process.

Savi’s performance marketing team, led by head of media and performance marketing, Alana Codey, leveraged experience across industries including property, hospitality, sports nutrition, medical, and the arts to secure the win.

Savi founder and director Michelle Savona said the agency’s in-house design and web capabilities allowed for rapid campaign adjustments.

Digital marketing manager for Ena Pelly, Lizzie Hunter, said Savi’s pitch demonstrated a clear understanding of the brand and market conditions.

The appointment is effective immediately.
